Friday, May 31, 2013 - ROAD MAP OF THE ORAL CAVITY & ORAL HEALTH IN THE GERIATRIC PATIENT

Basic and advanced anatomy of the oral cavity including extraoral and intraoral structures of the dog and cat as well as
skeletal anatomy, salivary glands, lymph nodes, hard and soft palate and other miscellaneous structures will be discussed. Radiographic anatomy
of the oral cavity will also be presented. Also, notable changes in cats and dogs teeth as they age including changes in tooth anatomy, wear due
to long-term mastication, challenges associated with home care and addressing issues with anesthesia. Oral and tooth diseases along with
abnormalities common in geriatric cats and dogs will also be discussed.


General Admission: $25 per session
AUTC Alumni: $20 per session
