MOVE is the newest initiative by the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association to support the professional success and development of veterinarians through social and educational networking opportunities.

Engage with your peers and meet experienced individuals in the veterinary profession. Network in a fun, relaxed setting while enjoying the company of your colleagues.

Connect to those going through similar professional experiences. Share and receive advice on relevant topics to you and your career.

Ever look inside your fridge and struggle to decide what to make for dinner? In a rush as a busy family and the idea of meal prepping seems daunting? Then we have the perfect event for you! 

You are invited to join MOVE (Minnesota Opportunities for Veterinary Engagement) for a healthy cooking class! All veterinary professionals, students and plus 1s are invited to join us on Sunday, April 28 from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm at Healthy for Life Meals (4301 Quebec Ave N, New Hope, MN 55428) to learn about food rescue, gain basic kitchen skills and receive helpful ideas for meal prepping from a trained chef! 

The class is part of programming from local nonprofit, Loaves & Fishes MN. Loaves & Fishes is not a religious organization. They serve free and healthy meals to Minnesotans in need without regard to religious perspective and do not engage in activities that promote any particular religious cause. All food prepped as part of the MOVE cooking class day will be sent out to a Loaves & Fishes meal site as part of their over 4 million free meals served per year.

Fingers, Toes and Veterinary Woes! Come Whine and Unwind
(Spa Day in Mankato)

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on us! Attendees will get to choose between getting a manicure or pedicure, and enjoy drinks, snacks and conversation around destressing.

This will be a safe space to discuss challenges you face in your every day work. The event will take place at Indulge Salon & Tanning (1713 Commerce Dr, North Mankato, MN 56003) on Saturday, May 18th in the early afternoon. Exact timing to be sent closer to the event. We are limited to 15 spots so act fast and RSVP today! This event is open to MVMA member and non-member DVMs only, no plus 1s. 

Don’t Let Yourself Burn Out
(Lunch and Wood Burning Craft)

All veterinary professionals and veterinary students are invited to join us on Sunday, May 19 from 1:00-4:00 pm at La Dona Cerveceria (241 Fremont Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55405) for lunch, drinks and a wood burning craft of your choice led by an experienced instructor! No plus 1s as we are limited on wood burning pens available. 

As the event gets closer, attendees will be sent a link to choose between one of four available projects. This event is open to all veterinary professionals and veterinary students.
