The MVM Foundation was created to
expand the contributions veterinarians and their friends
make for the health and welfare of animals, by providing
funds for health care research, scholarships, public
education projects, continuing education seminars and
other worthwhile projects in support of
animals.
The Foundation provides scholarships
to veterinary students, pre-veterinary students and
veterinary technicians. These scholarships allow
students the opportunity to receive professional
education and training in veterinary
medicine.
The Foundation helps fund projects
which promote public education on issues of concern to
the welfare of animals. Some of the public education
projects include the State Fair Surgery Suite, Heartworm
Awareness and Pet Overpopulation. The Foundation also
supports projects which enhance the profession of
veterinary medicine.
The Foundation supports and promotes
continuing education to veterinarians, technicians and
hospital staff. This helps keep veterinarians and their
staff aware of new techniques in veterinary
medicine.
The Foundation also supports the development of
educational chairs at the College of Veterinary
Medicine.
The Foundation provides funds for
research in both the small animal and large animal areas
of medicine.
The Foundation contributes to
organizations like 4-H, FFA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts,
and others who look to veterinary medicine for
support.
The Foundation provides aid to
veterinary projects without resources which supply
equipment and current information on veterinary
medicine.
You can express your joy as a pet
