The Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association supports and empowers veterinary professionals, advances animal wellbeing, and promotes public health. As the state's membership association for veterinary professionals, we advocate for the profession at the Capitol, provide valuable resources, and offer continuing education—including the premier annual veterinary conference in the Upper Midwest. We organize networking and volunteer opportunities, support professional development, cultivate leaders, and oversee initiatives that benefit our members and the profession as a whole. Veterinary Technician Licensure Effective as of July 1, 2026

Effective July 1, 2026, veterinary technicians are included in the Veterinary Practice Act and the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine is the licensing body. Please visit our resource page for the latest information. MVMA's voluntary veterinary technician certification program has ended.
