Any graduate of a recognized veterinary college who is of good moral character, and reputable professional methodsPractitioners shall be licensed in the area in which they practiceIf the candidate is favorably approved by the MVMA Board of Directors, they will become an Active MemberActive Members may hold elective office, and vote
Alternate membership option: Academic Non-DVM Veterinary Professional Member (regular pricing: $117, new member prorated pricing Nov-May) 
 
Any non-DVM professionals, animal science or research teachers, faculty, Practice Managers, Veterinary Technicians, etc.If the candidate is favorably approved by the MVMA Board of Directors, they will become a Non-DVM Veterinary Professional MemberNon-DVM Veterinary Professional Members may not hold elective office, vote on any matter, nor have any right or title to or interest in any real or personal property of the Association Academic Member (regular pricing: $203, prorated pricing Nov-May) 
Out of State Member (regular pricing: $132, prorated pricing Nov-May)Any DVM (Veterinarian) working in a college, university of academic veterinary technician program settingIf the candidate is favorably approved by the MVMA Board of Directors, they will become an Academic MemberAcademic Members may not hold elective office, vote on any matter, nor have any right or title to or interest in any real or personal property of the Association

Any DVM (Veterinarian) who meets the qualifications of Active Membership but who resides and practices outside of the State of MinnesotaIf the candidate is favorably approved by the MVMA Board of Directors, they will become an Out of State MemberOut of State Members may not hold elective office, vote on any matter, nor have any right or title to or interest in any real or personal property of the Association
Alternate membership option: Active Supporting Member (regular pricing: $396, new member prorated pricing Nov-May) 
 
Any business individual, partnership, corporation, or other business entity, who desires to support the purpose of the AssociationEligible to receive the Association’s publications and participate in programs as the MVMA Board of Directors permitsSupporting Members may be a part of the Industry Partners Committee, which helps veterinarians feel supported by the industry, by offering products and services for the benefit of veterinary practices.If the candidate is favorably approved by the MVMA Board of Directors, they will become a Supporting MemberSupporting Members may not hold elective office, vote on any matter, nor have any right or title to or interest in any real or personal property of the Association, or serve on an non-industry committeesSpecial dues assessments may not be levied against Supporting Members Graduate Student/Intern/Resident Member (regular pricing: $102, new member prorated pricing Nov-May) 
Recent Graduate Member (regular pricing: $168, new member prorated pricing Nov-May)Any DVM (Veterinarian) currently enrolled in a graduate veterinary program from an accredited college of veterinary medicine or employed as an intern, fellow or resident at an accredited institution or facilityIf the candidate is favorably approved by the MVMA Board of Directions, they will become a Graduate Student/Intern/Resident MemberGraduate Student/Intern/ Resident Members may not hold elective office, vote on any matter, nor have any right or title to or interest in any real or personal property of the Association 
 
Any DVM practicing in their 1st, 2nd, 3rd of 4th year after graduation from an accredited college of veterinary medicine or immediately following completion of graduate, intern, fellowship or residency work.Practitioners shall be licensed in the area in which they practiceIf the candidate is favorably approved by the MVMA Board of Directors, they will become a Recent Graduate MemberThese members shall have the same rights as Active Members Student Member (regular pricing: $25)
 
Any full-time veterinary student of an accredited veterinary collegeIf the candidate is favorably approved by the MVMA Board of Directors, they shall become a Student MemberStudent Members May not hold elective office, vote on any matter, nor have any right or title to or interest in any real or personal property of the Association Life Member  
Any current Active member who has been in good standing as an Active MVMA Member for a total of 40 years from the date of obtaining their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degreeIf the candidate is favorably approved by the MVMA Board of directors, they shall become a Life MemberLife Members shall receive all of the privileges of Active Members, except they shall not pay dues after attaining Life Member status. Non-Practicing DVM Member (regular pricing: $168)
 
This membership status is upon request and approved by the MVMA Board of DirectorsAny Active Member who is not currently practicing veterinary medicine shall become a Non-Practicing DVM member, this includes retired DVM’s who are not yet eligible for Life MembershipNon-Practicing DVM Members may not hold elected office, vote on any matter, nor have any right or title to or interest in any real or personal property of the AssociationNon-Practicing DVM members are not eligible for Life MembershipSpecial dues assessments may not be levied against Non-Practicing DVM members   |
