Mankato Moondogs Baseball Game with MOVE

Unwind with ‘America’s pastime:” MVMA’s MOVE team invites DVMs and clinic staff to a night out at a Mankato Moondogs baseball game!

We’ll enjoy a premium experience in our very own Dog House Suite, perched atop the right field wall. Dog House Suites are the latest addition to ISG field and offer a one-of-a-kind experience, including a catered meal and ice cold adult beverages. As the team advertises, “Where getting sent to the Dog House is a good thing!”

Mankato Moondogs is an amateur baseball team of collegiate players that plays teams within the southern region of Minnesota. MVMA invites you to enjoy a game with colleagues this summer!

Twin Cities River Rats Waterski Show

Back by popular demand! Join MOVE at the Twin Cities River Rats Water Ski Show on Thursday, July 30! MVMA members, DVM non-members, technicians, veterinary staff, and your families are invited to come out for a magical, action-packed water ski show on the Mississippi River! This is a kid-friendly event and we encourage you to bring the whole family. 

A splash of pixie dust and a whole lot of speed: this year’s show theme is the Never River, which brings the magic of Peter Pan to the Mississippi! Join Peter, Wendy, and the Darling brothers as they soar, spin, and ski their way through an unforgettable adventure where you never have to grow up!

The pre-show begins at 6:20 p.m. but we encourage arriving early to find parking and engage with your veterinary community. MVMA MOVE representatives will set up camp in front of the big red concession stand tent down by the river. Look for large yellow and blue blankets. We should have plenty of blanket space but feel free to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. MVMA will have coolers with beverages available and will provide vouchers for concessions.

Street parking is available on West River Road N and side streets; it is recommended to arrive between 5:30 and 6 p.m. to secure a good street parking spot. Please do not park in the nearby business parking lots. More information about the River Rats can be found here: http://tcriverrats.com/

Un-Wined with MOVE: France 44 Wine Tasting

Sunday, Aug. 2, 2–5 p.m.
France 44 Wines & Spirits (4351 France Ave S, Minneapolis)

Join us for a 90-minute guided wine tasting at France 44! We welcome Minnesota veterinarians and their guests to an afternoon of relaxation and connection while you enjoy learning about different wines and their cheese pairings. Following the formal program, there will be a social hour featuring artisanal appetizers, more wine, and a chance to connect with other attendees and discuss different strategies for maintaining work-life balance. Veterinary medicine can be stressful! What hobbies do you have outside of it, and how do you like to "un-wined"?

This event is open to MVMA members/DVMs and an optional +1 – bring a date, bestie, your mom, or any other adult (21+) you’d enjoy sharing this experience with!
