Minnesota Opportunities for Veterinary Engagement

MOVE is an initiative by the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association to support the professional success and development of veterinary professionals through social and educational networking opportunities.

Engage with peers and meet experienced individuals in the veterinary profession. Network in a fun, relaxed setting while enjoying the company of colleagues.

Connect to those going through similar professional experiences. Share and receive advice on relevant topics to you and your career.

MVMA Treats You: Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular 

Thursday, Oct. 15, gather 5:30–6 p.m.; enter the trail at 6:30 p.m.
Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley

Join us for a festive seasonal experience! We’ve organized a family-friendly group outing to the Mn Zoo’s annual Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular. We’ll gather between 5:30 and 6 p.m. for some time to connect, then at 6:30 p.m. we’ll set out on our walk along the jack-o-lantern trail glowing with thousands of artistically carved pumpkins. Special effects such as music, colorful lights, and fog set the mood and delight the senses. You are welcome to bring up to two guests in addition to yourself.

A Toast to Technicians

Sunday, Oct. 18, 2:30–5:30 p.m.
Rustic Roots Winery in Scandia, MN

Celebrate veterinary technicians with us at Rustic Roots Winery in Scandia, MN. On the first day of National Veterinary Technician Week, spend the afternoon relaxing and connecting with your team and fellow veterinary professionals. We’ve reserved the event tent and will provide heavy appetizers and drink tickets for all attendees. This free event is open to individual veterinary professionals and teams.

Found Yourself in a Pickle? Supporting Members at Your Service!

Saturday, Nov. 7, 3–5 p.m.
Chip's Pickleball Club in Eagan

Have you found yourself in a pickle? Then you won't want to miss our Pickleball event on Saturday, November 7th at Chip's Pickleball Club in Eagan from 3-5 pm. We will bring in supporting member to answer any questions and share resources and will also have MOVE members on hand who can teach the basic rules of pickleball and how to play. Food and drink on us! DVMs invited.
