Chemical Immobilization and Anesthesia of Domestic and Wildlife Species
This course is 16 hours of lecture and multimedia presentations on the chemical immobilization of wild and domestic animals.  For in-person classes, this includes 2 hours of hands-on range training with blowpipes and power projectors and a 1 hour dart loading exercise.  This course is the most complete and comprehensive available for both novice and experienced participants including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, wildlife biologists, animal control officers, zoo staff, and animal owners.  Safety and animal welfare are emphasized throughout the course as well as an understanding of all the components of a chemical immobilization capture plan.  The course is also offered virtually as a live stream event with live instruction or as virtual modules.  Instructors are wildlife and zoo veterinarians who are recognized experts in chemical immobilization and anesthesia.
